DESCRIPTION:As part of the annual conference of the “Women and Computer Sci
 ence” working group from May 2–4, 2025, in Wernigerode, Josefine Kipke, Sys
 tem Engineer Sustainability Monitoring (OSB Alliance), will shed light on t
 he environmental impact of cloud infrastructures and possible solutions. He
 r talk, "Open Clouds for a Sustainable IT Future," explores how open-source
  technologies in the ECO:DIGIT project enhance transparency and sustainabil
 ity. Given the rising CO₂ emissions from cloud systems, she will present me
 thods for measuring and optimizing energy consumption.\n\nThe conference fo
 cuses on sustainable IT through expert talks, discussions, and workshops. M
