GreenTech Demo Day
For about two years, eight research projects have been investigating the sustainability potential of AI, digital twins, edge and cloud computing and how to design them sustainably. At the GreenTech Demo Day on May 20, 2025 at the Forum Digitale Technologien in Berlin, these research projects will provide an insight into their innovative and practical solutions.

Description
ECO:DIGIT is also being part of the GreenTech Demo Day. Yelle Lieder (adesso) will present the demonstrator of the test bench developed within the project. It enables an automated assessment of greenhouse gas emissions and resource consumption in modern software applications.
In addition, Lena Hoffmann (Gesellschaft für Informatik) will give a keynote speech on the topic of standardization. Currently, there is still a significant lack of unified standards for the collection of environmental indicators. Therefore, the test bench is to be incorporated into various standardization processes in order to make a relevant contribution to the enhancement of sustainable software development.
Many representatives of the project, such as Jessica Ramhab from adesso, Josefine Kipke and Felix Kronlage-Dammers from OSBA, Jens Gröger from Öko-Institut e.V., Nikolas Becker and Teresa Zeck from GI and Karsten Schörner from Siemens, will also be at the event and are looking forward to the exchange.
