Josefine Kipke (OSBA) will provide insights into the ECO:DIGIT project in her talk at the annual conference of the "Women and Computer Science" working group, showcasing how transparency and efficiency in cloud infrastructures can be enhanced.
As part of the annual conference of the “Women and Computer Science” working group from May 2–4, 2025, in Wernigerode, Josefine Kipke, System Engineer Sustainability Monitoring (OSB Alliance), will shed light on the environmental impact of cloud infrastructures and possible solutions. Her talk, "Open Clouds for a Sustainable IT Future," explores how open-source technologies in the ECO:DIGIT project enhance transparency and sustainability. Given the rising CO₂ emissions from cloud systems, she will present methods for measuring and optimizing energy consumption.
